Last updated: 11 October 2026
This policy explains how SHOPERDO LTD ("we", "us") handles personal data when you visit this website or use our software and apps (the "Services").
1. Who we are
SHOPERDO LTD is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 13605168, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.

2. Our role
Our Services let merchants send and receive WhatsApp messages with their own customers. Two kinds of personal data are involved:
- Merchant data. Information about the businesses and people who sign up to use our Services. We are the controller of this data.
- End-customer data. Information about a merchant's customers that the merchant sends through our Services. The merchant is the controller of this data and we process it on the merchant's behalf, following the merchant's instructions.
3. Data we collect
From merchants:
- Account details: business name, contact name, email address, phone number.
- Store details: store name and address on the e-commerce platform, and the access permissions the merchant grants when installing our app.
- WhatsApp Business details: the WhatsApp Business Account and business phone number the merchant connects, and its message templates.
- Billing and usage records for the Services.
On behalf of merchants (end-customer data):
- Customer name and phone number.
- Order information needed for a message, such as order number, items, amount, delivery address and order status.
- The content of WhatsApp messages exchanged between the merchant and the customer, and delivery status of those messages.
From visitors to this website: standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and pages requested.
4. How we use data
- To provide the Services: sending order confirmations, reminders, replies and campaigns that the merchant has set up.
- To generate automated replies to customer questions where the merchant has switched this feature on.
- To operate, secure and troubleshoot the Services.
- To bill merchants and keep business records.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use end-customer data for our own marketing.
5. Legal bases
For merchant data, we rely on performance of our contract with the merchant, our legitimate interests in running and securing the Services, and compliance with legal obligations. For end-customer data, the merchant decides the legal basis and is responsible for having any consent required to message its customers, including opt-in for marketing messages on WhatsApp.
6. Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers needed to run the Services:
- Meta Platforms, which operates the WhatsApp Business Platform that delivers the messages.
- The e-commerce platform the merchant's store runs on, such as Shopify.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that store and process data for us.
- AI language model providers, used only to generate automated replies where the merchant has switched this feature on.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
7. International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual clauses.
8. How long we keep data
We keep merchant account data for as long as the account is active and afterwards for as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes. We keep end-customer data for as long as the merchant uses the Services. When a merchant uninstalls our app or closes its account, we delete or anonymise the end-customer data we hold for that merchant within a reasonable period, unless the law requires us to keep it.
9. Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections and access restricted to those who need it. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may have the right to access your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, and receive a copy of it. To use these rights, email info@shoperdo.co.uk.
If you are a customer of a merchant that uses our Services, please contact that merchant first, as they control your data. We will help the merchant respond to your request.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
11. Data deletion requests
To ask us to delete data, email info@shoperdo.co.uk from the address linked to your account, or tell us the store or phone number concerned. We will confirm once the deletion is complete.
12. Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our apps may use strictly necessary cookies or session tokens to keep a merchant signed in.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our Services change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
